Velocity Credit Union - Additional Services - Putting Your Money In Motion

The Velocity Credit Union Youth Galaxy was created especially for our younger members, and is designed to help teach good savings habits to our young people and help them grow upto be financially responsible adults. The clubs are open to kids and young adults from ages 0-17 years. Only $10 and your social security number is required to open, and a parent orguardian must be a joint owner on the account.

Rising Stars

Kids from age 0-11 will love the Rising Stars Club. Members will have a savingsaccount with their own name on it, and can watch their money grow as they save. Here's what else this club offers:

Your own quarterly account statement
Quarterly club newsletter
Prizes for saving your money
Special events and parties
Super Stars - a club member will be spotlighted in the newsletter
Straight A Kids will receive a special prize when they bring in a "Straight A" report card each semester.

Cosmic Teens

Young adults between 12-17 will have an opportunity to learn about handling their finances and develop money management skills, with the guidance of the Credit Union and their parents. They will also begin with a special savings account.Once they turn 15, Cosmic Teens will have an opportunity to utilize someof our adult services, with their parent as co-signer. Velocity Credit Union will offer seminars and information to help them get off to a good start. Here's whatCosmic Teens have available:

A/B Honor Roll - bring in your semester report card for a special prize
No-fee student checking*

*Student must be at least 15 years old with parent as co-signer. Usual Velocity Credit Unioncredit granting criteria apply.
